Michael James Knapp and his family never intended to add a second dog to their family. However, the stray they named Dixie had other ideas. Dixie joined the Michael J Knapp family seamlessly. The kids, Kim Rose and Michael James Knapp Jr, adore her, as does Michael's wife Amber. They were thrilled to add a second dog, but shocked when two weeks later, Dixie had a litter of puppies. The puppies stayed with the Michael J Knapp family for twelve weeks and then went on to new, loving homes. Dixie is still with the family, but took a trip to the vet to make sure the family didn't have another litter of puppies. 

Michael James Knapp and his beautiful wife Amber Riley thought they had a complete family, consisting of themselves, their two children, Michael James Knapp, Jr. and Kim, as well as their Rottweiler, Cuddles.  However, what Michael J Knapp and Amber did not expect to find was an adorable GoldenDoodle puppy wandering lost in their backyard one morning.

It was a typical Saturday morning in Michael J Knapp's household. Cuddles had just run into the kids' shared room, jumped on each of their beds and gave them a lick on the face to say "good morning." Amber was cooking breakfast for the kids and Michael James Knapp and the smell of pancakes cooking and bacon sizzling permeated through the house. Michael Knapp sat at the kitchen table reading the newspaper and sipping a cup of freshly brewed caffeinated coffee.

Suddenly, Cuddles stated frantically scratching at the door to get out of the house. Michael James Knapp and his family went out into the backyard to find Cuddles playing with the GoldenDoodle puppy with no collar or tags, who the Knapp family now knows as Dixie. Michael J Knapp and his family watched as the dogs started chasing each other back and forth across the yard. It was love at first sight, not only for the dogs, but for the kids as well.

Michael J Knapp and Amber were a little hesitant at first. Michael James Knapp and Amber looked at each other and then glanced outside at their happy family plus one, and couldn't imagine a better picture than just looking outside their window.
